Cincy Event Planning is a full service special occasion event and wedding planning company that was created by our founder Julie Schmidt. Julie planned her first wedding in 2003 and by 2006 she was planning weddings and event full time. In the fall of 2015 Stephanie Porter took over ownership. Our goal is to help ease the stress of event planning at any stage of the planning process. We focus on classic, elegant design with modern style and a touch of whimsy. We have no rules when it comes to planning events  and we actually prefer to break a few! 

Theresa was a member of the all-star 2011 intern class. After graduating from Ohio University, she spent about a year of helping us with large events, until we had a permanent place on the team open. She knocked her first event out of the park – an insanely gorgeous farm wedding. Since then she has coordinated events at 21C Hotel, The Manor House and The Center, just to name a few.

Stephanie was looking for a new outlet that would help fulfill her passion for organization, leadership, and creativity. After starting a DIY craft, home décor, and food blog and while planning her own wedding, she stumbled upon the internship search for CEP. Stephanie loves the opportunity to help bring her clients’ dream event to life! Her favorite part of her job is the look of pure joy and happiness on her clients’ faces when they see the whole event come together.

Ali knew events were her thing from a young age. While the industry is nothing like the Jennifer Lopez movie, watching The Wedding Planner inspired Ali to pursue event planning as a career. Self-proclaimed type A, she has a knack for organization and making the most out of each and every day. Ali takes pleasure in getting to know her clients on a personal level to be sure their events reflect their individual style and personality.

I literally don't think I'd have survived the last two months of wedding planning and ESPECIALLY the day of without the CEP staff. Stephanie is the greatest human alive for dealing with my family full of crazies (the biggest one being me!) Eternally grateful for all of her, and her wonderful interns, for being apart of our day.
