What a way to start the year. Adrienne + Raoul’s wedding was… in a word, stunning. We have been planning with Adrienne (and Raoul too) for nearly a year. She came to us with a color scheme and a feel and then left the rest up to us. Adrienne + Raoul’s wedding day was so unique, I’m sure we’ll never have another Catholic Filipino Military wedding – or at least not one with this much style. Adrienne is gorgeous and has amazing taste – you’ll see from her choice of gown, bridesemaid dresses, shoes (hello Christian Louboutin!) and jewelry – her style is impeccable.
We worked with Inspired Floral Design and Prime Time Party Rentals to bring in gorgeous linens – including the amazing rosette table runner and stunning florals. Goodwin Lighting added the final touches to the room transformation with pinspots and uplighting.
Adrienne + Raoul were married in the same church as Adrienn’e’s parents were married in. Raoul’s uncle, who is a priest in the Philippines, performed the ceremony. The couple to make sure to incorporate Raoul’s culture as well as details specific to both of them as a couple. The wedding ceremony including traditional Filipino customs such as the giving of the arrhae, and the veil and cord. Raoul wore his Army dress uniform, and his best men wore the traditional Filipino barong. They also incorporated a “lovebird” theme which stemmed from an inside joke between the two of them. They also had a somewhat traditional wedding cake (it was cheesecake!) and a traditional Filipino dessert – which was a huge hit.
